Foot passenger & car ferries of all types sail to Britain from Ireland, France, Spain, Belgium, Holland, Germany and Scandinavia. Most ferries arrive at the English south coast ports of Dover, Folkestone, Newhaven, Plymouth, Poole, Weymouth, Portsmouth and Southampton. All have an excellent onwards travel connections whatever your final British destination. For the north & Scotland a long journey can be avoided by sailing to the east coast ferry ports at Hull & Newcastle. Ferry services also connect the Scottish Islands, the Channel Islands and the Isles of Scilly, Isle of Wight and Isle of Man with mainland Britain.

Eurostar Trains & Eurotunnel
Eurostar Trains connect central London to Brussels & Paris in under 3 hours. Both Le Shuttle & Eurostar are easy, fast and cost effective ways to travel to London & onwards to all parts of Britain.

The English Channel Tunnel (or Chunnel) makes it possible to travel by car between Britain & Europe without either flying or sailing. To drive from Europe to Britain, "Le Shuttle" trains carry vehicles & passengers between Folkestone & Calais in just over half an hour.
